Are you affected by recession, or feeling stressed?  Are you coping with the pain of loss?  Do you find that you need more support than family and friends can provide?  If you need someone to share your problems with….I am here to help…….087 2498134.

I am an Accreditated and Registered therapist with the I.A.C.P. (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work within their ethical code.

Each year I formally register myself through the I.A.C.P after demonstrating continual on-going training to show how I keep pace with new professional development.  I attend regular Supervision as this is a requirement of my profession and ensures the quality of my work.

I am committed to a programme of on-going professional development and as such I attend regular training courses.  As an experienced therapist I enjoy this responsibility and commitment to quality training in my profession which is one that is constantly evolving.

I have completed specialist training as a Bereavement Counsellor with the Bereavement Counselling Service where I have worked as a Bereavement Counsellor for the past five years.

I have also worked in So Sad Drogheda, Co. Louth counselling clients and their families who have been bereaved by suicide.  Alongside this, I am a trained Ageing With Confidence Facilitator with Age & Opportunity delivering eight week programmes in Co. Meath and North Dublin.  I also provide Stress Management Programmes for organisations or other Personal Development Programmes as requested.

Being an integrative counsellor with a person-centred approach to working with people, I believe ‘YOU’ have the resources within yourself to identify changes you need to make while also possessing the inner strength, energy and abilities to do so.

WHAT I OFFER YOU…..is a non-judgemental, safe and confidential counselling opportunity for you to explore your feelings and issues as you work out what, if any, changes you would like to make in your life or your behaviour.  In doing so, I draw on a variety of therapeutic counselling theories and skills to work integratively in a unique way with each individual.   Some of these include …Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy and Stress Reduction (MBCT/MBSR) Gestalt, Solution Focused therapeutic skills.

People seek counselling for a variety of reasons…anxiety, panic attacks, stress, work related issues, low self-esteem, depression, anger management, bereavement, relationships plus many others.

I thoroughly enjoy working with people as I journey with individuals from crises point to living a more satisfying and resourceful way.  I am essentially a ‘people’ person and this has always inspired my work, forming an integral part of who I am both personally and professionally with my clients.  I like to think that I can support a person walk the journey of deeper understanding of themselves and others.

Finally Nelson Mandella spoke about the great mystery of our true selves and our fear of it.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

We ask ourselves ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? “
